Fermented Food Zone
China's fermented foods have a long history and a wide range of varieties, and are an indispensable part of the food industry. The fermentation of food through the interaction of microorganisms, animals and plants not only gives food a unique flavour and texture, but also generates substances beneficial to the human body during the complex metabolic process, which is yet to be explored in depth. China National Research Institute of Food & Fermentation Industries (CNRIFFI) and Sinolight International Holdings Corporation will continue to rely on industry and technology advantages to organise and set up the ‘China Fermented Foods Pavilion’ to participate in the exhibition, and enterprises are cordially invited to apply for participation!
During the Show in 2021, China National Research Institute of Food and CNRIFFI jointly organised a team to participate in the exhibition, and collaborated with the exhibition organisers to hold the ‘Global Summit on Large-scale Food Industry Clusters’. More than ten experts from the Department of Consumer Goods Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, Jingdong Data Research Institute, China Agricultural University, Meishan ‘China Pickle City’, Renhuai Wine Association, Foshan Sanshui Investment Service Centre, Xinjiang Xinkang Agriculture and other experts made in-depth analysis on the domestic and foreign policy support for the large food industry clusters, the dynamics of technological innovation and the future direction of the topic. In 2023, China National Research Institute of Food and CNRIFFI jointly organised and set up ‘China Fermented Food Theme Pavilion’ and ‘China Brand Food Themed Exhibition Group’ to participate in the exhibition, with a pavilion area of 357 square metres and 30 participating enterprises. On the opening day of the exhibition, China National Research Institute of Food and Quzhou Municipal Supply and Marketing Co-operative Society co-hosted the ‘China Quzhou - San Qu Wei - Branded Foods Special Launch’, in which high-level leaders from All-China Supply and Marketing Co-operative Society, CNRIFFI, Quzhou Municipal Government and other senior leaders came to the site of the launch and delivered opening speeches. The conference added highlights to the exhibition through innovative release and tasting interactive activities. During the exhibition, the China National Research Institute of Food, the National Information Centre of Food Fermentation Industry, the exhibition organisers and China Light International Holdings Ltd. jointly hosted the ‘2023 International Wine Culture Summit - Whisky and Baijiu Consumption Trend Forum in China’, and the China Wine Industry Association, the Irish Food Authority, the Irish Food Industry Association, CNRIFFI, the Quzhou Municipal Government and other senior leaders made opening remarks. Guests from the China Wine Industry Association, Irish Food Board, Scottish International Development Agency and other guests held in-depth dialogues on new trends in whisky consumption, market analysis, and comparison of whisky and Chinese baijiu consumption, among other topics.
In 2024, China National Research Institute of Food continued to co-organise and set up the ‘China Fermented Foods Pavilion’ with CNRIFFI, with an area of 225 square metres and 13 participating enterprises. During the exhibition, in order to give full play to the advantages of the industry, CNRIFFI hosted the first ‘Fermented Foods and Nutritional Health Forum’, with the theme of ‘Fermented Foods - The Healthy Mystery of Triple Symbiosis’. Ten experts and entrepreneurs from South China University of Technology, Shenzhen University, Hubei University, Zhejiang University of Agriculture and Forestry, Institute of Microbiology of Guangdong Academy of Sciences, Alibaba (China) Network Technology Company Limited, Yanjing Healthy Food Innovation Research Institute, Shandong Yuanzheng Tea Industry Company Limited, Beijing Miyuantang Bio-technology Company Limited, Guangdong Huankai Microbial Technology Co, Ten experts and entrepreneurs from Beijing Mi Yuantang Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Huankai Microbial Technology Co. More than 200 executives from universities, research institutes, food companies, R&D personnel and marketing experts from more than 100 cities in China gathered together to seek the future of fermented food and nutritional health industry. At the forum, China Food Research Institute, National Information Centre of Food and Fermentation Industry, and Food Professional Committee of China Consumer Goods Quality and Safety Association jointly launched the ‘Fermented Foods into Ten Thousand Homes - Natto First Public Welfare Action’, and Beijing Yanjing Zhongfa Biotechnology Co. Ltd. as the implementation unit of this public welfare action, will accelerate the market penetration of fermented foods such as natto through technological innovation and market promotion, and enhance the public's awareness and acceptance of fermented foods.
The Chinese Fermented Food Exhibition Group will highlight its distinctive features, showcase concentrated displays, and reflect innovation.
