Anuga Select China, relying on the accumulated high-quality buyer resources from both catering and circulation channels, has specially created the "Meat and Meat Products Zone", which fully covers the meat product section, including meat, meat products, prefabricated supporting facilities and cold chain logistics, etc., helping meat enterprises and brands quickly access both catering and circulation channels in South China.
- China is the world's largest producer, consumer and trader of meat.
In 2023, China imported 7.382 million tons of meat and meat products, with an import value of 27.53 billion US dollars. The compound growth rates over the past ten years were as high as 11.5% and 16.7% respectively.
Meat, as the most important category in agricultural products, food production and trade, still maintains a good development momentum.
In the first quarter of 2024, the top ten countries/regions in terms of China's import value of meat and meat products were Brazil, the United States, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, Uruguay, Spain, Bolivia, Thailand and Russia, accounting for 90.04% of China's import value of this product in total.
- The per capita meat consumption in Guangdong Province ranks third.
The top five provinces and cities in terms of the annual per capita meat consumption in China are Chongqing, Sichuan, Guangdong, Inner Mongolia and Tibet. Guangdong ranks third with 33.6 kilograms per person.
- The catering market in the Greater Bay Area is huge.
In 2023, the catering revenue in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area exceeded 600 billion yuan.

The the Global Meat Summit 2024 attracted more than 80 industry professionals, jointly promoting the healthy and sustainable development of the meat trade.
The Foodie Space will collaborate with renowned chefs, top equipment suppliers, and kitchenware brands, integrating with rare wines and premium food ingredient brands to create customized special theme activities, restore the real scene of kitchen cooking, and bring the ultimate and exclusive experience of a pop-up high-end restaurant to the audience.
Meat, as an indispensable ingredient on the dining table, has always been the most notable food ingredient in the Foodie Space. In the 2024 live event, in collaboration with the European Commission and the USMEF (US Meat Export Federation), it brought an ultimate experience that combines high-quality meat ingredients with the skills of celebrity chefs for the on-site guests, initiated "business opportunities on the dining table" with brands, based on food to empower the commercial value of catering. Indulge in the pure charm of the ingredients and taste the unique beauty of the future flavor.
The "Chef's Table" series of roadshow events under Anuga Select China, the roadshow selects high-quality domestic and foreign food/ingredient and beverage production enterprises and brands. Renowned chefs are specially invited to conduct on-site cooking demonstrations using the food and ingredients provided by exhibitors. Food and ingredient suppliers and target purchasers gather together to taste delicious food.
The Chef's Table roadshow events have cooperated with many meat associations and meat enterprises in multiple cities such as Guangzhou, Shanghai, Xiamen and Chengdu, exploring the charm of ingredients "from the origin to the table" with professional guests on the spot.
To better serve the supply and procurement connection needs of meat exhibitors and trade buyers, a special business matching zone was set up on the spot. Online Showroom and scenario-based business connections were also launched to simultaneously assist and bring you a new business experience.
