Carrying on the time-honored excellence of Anuga, Anuga Select China 2024, has been successfully concluded from 24-26 April 2024 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center (Futian). The event was jointly organised by Koelnmesse (Beijing) Co., Ltd., China Chamber of Commerce of Import and Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce and Animal By-Products, and Shenzhen Retail Business Association.
During 3 show days, the exhibition drew in 29,390 visits with a 35% growth in trade visitors from food and beverage industry compared to last edition. With spanning across an expansion 40,000 square meters of exhibition space, it features 405 participating companies from over 30 countries and regions worldwide. In conjunction with SIGEP China 2024, hailing from SIGEP - The Dolce World Expo thereby creating a comprehensive food and beverage event that centered on the industry, channels, and catering.
Anuga Select China 2024, under the global strategy of Anuga, inherits the century-old quality of the Anuga brand and enters the Chinese market with a new Anuga Select China image. The exhibition covers a comprehensive range of food and beverage categories, including sweets and snacks, meat, dairy, fine foods, seafood and frozen foods, plant-based and healthy foods, coffee and tea, beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), food services and technology, and the entire F&B industry chain.
This year, Anuga Select China welcomed the return and debut of many international pavilions and overseas exhibitors. The EU pavilion was worth-of-mention in bringing over 200 premium food and beverage products from its 27 member countries to the Chinese market, including organic food and GI (geographical indication protection) food protected by the China-EU bilateral agreement, showcasing the true quality, safety, and sustainability of “European manufacturing”. At the same time, domestic high-quality food and beverage companies represented by the China State Farm also actively participated and appeared on the same stage as international brands and companies. Anuga Select China is gradually becoming the preferred platform for global food and beverage brands to deeply explore the Chinese market.

During Anuga Select China 2024 has featured six industrial forums and one terrific cooking competition, including the Mega Restaurant Chains Development & Catering Global Expansion Forum, Global Meat Summit 2024, the 3rd Global Imported Food Retail Market Trends Forum, 2024 Global Juice Roadshow Shenzhen, the International Agriculture and Branded Food (Shenzhen) Production and Supply Conference, and the Fermented Food and Nutrition Health Forum. These events explored hot topics and trends in various sub-sectors, providing insights for industry development. Additionally, the "Global Palate Ignited – Innovative Hot Pot Food Ingredients Competition showcased achievements in the hot pot industry and received high appraisal from the professionals.
The Business Matchmaking Zone facilitated connections with potential buyers in domestic distribution, retail, and chain catering channels, creating trade opportunities. Nearly 100 one-on-one procurement and supply negotiation meetings were held, including sessions for new retail e-commerce platforms like JD, Xiaohongshu, and TEMU, offering diverse cooperation opportunities.
The "Foodie Space" hosted two themed tasting events in collaboration with the U.S. Meat Export Federation and the European Union. Invited guest chefs integrated ingredient characteristics with creative catering technology, providing an immersive experience for food and beverage brand owners and industry buyers.
With the successful conclusion of the exhibition, Anuga Select China gained recognition and trust from the industry and markets. In the future, we are aiming to provide international exhibition services for the food and beverage industry, promoting long-term development with sustainability in the food and beverage eco-system.
